Widget People

In the field of Information Technology, people used to embrace everything that was new because the entire field was new.  IT is reaching the point where even such a progressive industry has its 'dinosaurs' who resist change.  One thing to remember about technology jobs is that people who do the job of a widget will be replaced by a widget.  Just remember, this is not a bad thing.  If we always fought to maintain everyone's job, we would still have people delivering ice instead of having ice makers in our freezers.  In order to remain relevant, we must continue to innovate and embrace innovation.  IT is definitely an area where it is true that you either move forward or fall behind.
